Rosanne Belanger was born in North Bay, Ontario in 1961 and has 4 children, 3 step-children and 6 grandchildren. In 2006 she married Tom Monk and they live in the village of Kinburn on 8 acres overlooking serene farm land.
Through an introductory wire crochet course in 2010 she discovered a love for jewelry making. In 2012 she increased her skills and knowledge by taking a Silver Smithing course at Algonquin College in Ottawa which opened up a new world and allowed her to create more technically mature pieces.
In 2013, she designed a line of jewelry for the Construction Resources Initiative Council to help promote awareness for their Mission 2030 and inspired the Scrap to Art competition. 2014 brought about another transformation in Rosanne's knowledge as she studied the art of Precious Metal Clay with a certified instructor in Ottawa.
From 2013 to 2015, she has been a seasonal vendor at the Carp Farmers Market, was a chosen vendor for Ottawa's Originals Show in 2016 and the National Women's Show in 2017 and she is also a member of both the Capital Artisans Guild and the Ottawa Artisans Guild.
